Position Title : Senior Manager – Underwriting

Candidate Requirement

  • MBBS / Pharma Graduate with 10 years of experience

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Underwrite life insurance applications for Individual including online term, Credit and Group plans
    • The NB applications against which a requirement letter need to be raised
    • The applications which require manual underwriting by virtue of the nature of product
    • The policies with alteration requests with respect to plan details
    • Revival cases
    • Report suspicious transactions to Risk and Compliance team
    • Coordinate with channel and NB team to ensure complete and correct medical reports in the timeline defined
      • Support the Claims team for investigation of the claims involving Medicals and underwriting inputs on the same.
      • Provide the required data, justifications and underwriting inputs for cases raised by compliance under AML
      • Ensure timely & accurate generation of  MIS Reports as per pre defined frequency for internal teams & external stakeholders like IRDA for Decline Life Database
    • Complaints & escalations resolution as per TAT
      • From sales channels, customers through C2S2, Uwsolutions and UW helpdesk
      • IGMS queries
    • Management and Underwriting life insurance applications above Auto acceptance limits of IDBI Federal and then referred to reinsurers for their decision.
    • Management of applications within our Auto acceptance would also be referred to reinsurer for their Medical or Financial Opinion
    • Monthly collation of the data for the placed cases with the reinsurer and sharing of the same with them as well as internal teams
    • Liaison with the Reinsurer for New & Existing product  updating and revision
    • Auto Underwriting rule enhancement to improve upon the rework
    • Trace query login for system improvement on better deliverables

    Underwriting guidelines & System development for any New product with UAT

    • Quality Check for Auto Pass applications as a part of risk mitigation measure at underwriting

    Online Audit for Underwriters which would assist in grant of higher limits

    • Internal Training – Conducting training for underwriting team on new product launch, case studies & guideline change
    • External Training – Conducting Alpha & Beta star training for sales force

    Position Title : Assistant Manager – Information Security

    Position Title : Senior Executive – Actuarial
